Jacque (Jackie) Adams is a ceramic artist and educator, living and working in Northern California. She holds a MFA in Ceramics from the University of Florida and a BFA in Ceramics from The Ohio State University.
Her work is focused around functional pottery, intended to enhance the home. The work is both wheel-thrown and slip-casted and then fired in a Wood kiln. The wood firing process is long and laborious, resulting in layered satin textures from the wood ash melting and cooling as glaze. Each piece is unique and one-of-a-kind. Her work is inspired by the Northern California landscape; rolling mountains, rocky paths, and the flora and fauna in between. Much of her work has been pressed with foraged plants, painted with wild-clay slips, and inlayed with wild quartz.
Outside of the studio she spends her days going on adventures with her child.
